Endorsements in San diEgo City Council Districts Two and Eight

We are pleased to announce our endorsements in the races for San Diego City Council Districts Two and Eight.  The candidates we have endorsed have demonstrated leadership and thoughtfulness in their housing policy proposals. We believe they will be strong advocates for the preservation and protection of residential housing units for long-term residential use. 

In San Diego City Council District Eight, we have endorsed Antonio Martinez for City Council. 

In San Diego City Council District Two, we have endorsed two candidates - Nicole Crosby and Mandy Havlik. 

Additionally, we have chosen to rate other candidates for these Council Districts.   A number of candidates submitted responses to our candidate questionnaire that demonstrated their commitment to limit and regulate vacation rentals in San Diego City.  These candidates were rated acceptable. 

Additionally, there are candidates in these races whose statements indicate they will continue the current short-term vacation policy.  These candidates were rated as unacceptable.

Venus Molina - Unacceptable❌

We will continue to educate, evaluate, and support candidates for San Diego City elected offices based on their commitment to preserving and restoring long-term housing in San Diego City.
